Born and bred in NYC kevin Amato began his career as a fine art lifestyle and fashion photographer. Photographing for publications such as I-D, COMPLEX, DAZED AND CONFUSED, OUT, INTERVIEW, CLASH, ROLLING STONE, ESPN, NYLON, XXL, 032C TO NAME A FEW. And commercial clients such as NIKE, ADIDAS, SONY, DIESEL, CONVERSE, HOOD BY AIR, FEAR OF GOD, SSENSE, OPENING CEREMONY, PACSUN to name a few.
Most notable are Amato's collaborations with underground and emerging fashion designers globally. As well as his Photographic series of Bronx youth subcultures and Travis Scott's "RODEO" album cover and artwork.
Using the same lifestyle and reportage approach in his photographs, Amato began photographing and casting for fashion brand Hood By Air in 2007. Later becoming the brands's visual and brand director.

Amato has casted campaigns and runway shows for NIKE, MTV, KITH, BAND OF OUTSIDERS, VFILES, JOYRICH, LUAR ZEPOL, HOOD BY AIR, BARNEYS, ADIDAS to name a few.
Throughout his career Amato has been credited with discovering and developing emerging talent such as Actor/Model Luka Sabot, Influencer/Stylist Bloody Osiris Photographer RaysCorruptedMind and Model/Actress Hari Nef to name a few.
Amato's work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
He has published two books of his photographic work.
